2. Services
Art of Language provides private language instruction and academic tutoring services for students of all ages. Services are customized to individual needs and may be delivered in-person or online.
We do not guarantee specific academic results, grades, test scores, or language proficiency outcomes.
3. Scheduling & 24-Hour Cancellation Policy
- Sessions must be scheduled in advance.
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.
- Late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full.
- Repeated cancellations or rescheduling may result in termination of services at our discretion.
4. Payments
- Payment is due prior to each session.
- We accept Zelle as a primary payment method.
- Rates vary depending on subject, level, and format.
- Prepaid packages may be offered at adjusted rates.
- Unpaid sessions are not held or reserved and may be released to other clients.
5. Refund & Package Policy
- All payments are non-refundable.
- Missed or late-canceled sessions are non-refundable.
- Prepaid packages are non-refundable and must be used within 6 months of purchase, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. No Guarantee of Results
While we provide high-level, individualized instruction, results depend on factors outside our control, including:
- Student effort and consistency
- Study habits outside sessions
- Prior knowledge and aptitude
We do not guarantee any specific academic or language outcomes.
7. Student Responsibilities & Late Arrival Policy
Students are expected to:
- Arrive on time and prepared
- Actively participate
- Complete assigned work
Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time regardless of late arrival.
8. Minors & Parental Consent
- Services for minors require parent or legal guardian consent.
- A parent/guardian must be present during in-home sessions.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for payment, scheduling, and communication.
- By enrolling a minor, the parent/guardian agrees to all terms outlined in this agreement.
9. Session Format, Travel & Safety
- Services are offered both online and in-person.
- In-person sessions are typically conducted at the client’s location or a mutually agreed setting.
- Travel fees may apply depending on distance and location.
- Clients are responsible for providing a safe, appropriate, and distraction-free learning environment.
- The instructor reserves the right to leave any environment deemed unsafe, and the session will be considered completed and billable.
10. Online Sessions
- Clients are responsible for a stable internet connection and functional technology.
- Technical issues on the client’s side do not qualify for refunds or rescheduling outside the cancellation policy.
11. Recording & Materials Policy
- Recording of sessions is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.
- Art of Language does not record sessions.
- All lesson materials are the intellectual property of Art of Language and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Art of Language shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from services provided.
- We are not responsible for academic outcomes, decisions made based on tutoring, or external factors affecting performance.
- Liability is strictly limited to the total amount paid for services.
13. Indemnification
Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless Art of Language from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in tutoring services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct
14. Chargeback & Payment Disputes
By submitting payment, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and waives the right to dispute or reverse charges in violation of this agreement.
15. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services at any time due to:
- Non-payment
- Repeated cancellations
- Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior
16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
17. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
